TJ Distributors was founded in 1995 by Thomas J. Dinan Sr. (TJD) as a small, family-owned business focused on the school construction and renovation market. In the early days, it was just Tom Sr. and his son, Tom Jr., working out of Tom Sr.’s home office in Bel Air, Maryland — a very humble beginning.

As the company grew, Tom Sr. retired from his role in 2004, and ownership transitioned to his three sons — Tom, Dave, and Jason — who became equal partners. Today, the business continues to be managed by the Dinan brothers.

Each year, TJ Distributors completes several hundred projects and has built strong, lasting relationships with its customers. We extend our gratitude to all of our employees and customers who have played an important role in helping us grow into the company we are today.
